Like a network. E.g. the infrastructure or a visual representation of the data to make more sense to humans. In this case it's likely referring to the different cause and effect of Parkinson's disease and trying to collate all the pathology data available related to this disease into a network we can understand. Could be wrong though, I'm only familiar with it from a computer science perspective.
