Did you get this email: Please note that interviews are continuing and expected to be finalised shortly. Once all interviews have been moderated, those candidates who have been successful may be offered roles, this will be in merit order.

Similar:
The video interviews are still currently being assessed. The results will be released once all the interviews have been assessed.

Really hope we hear soon then!

Yeah the whole process for everyone on my intake was about 6-8 months on average. It’s a very very long process

Hi everyone,

I hope you're well,

I completed the pre-recorded interview over a week ago, and yesterday I received an email from the application portal saying:

"Further to your recent Video Sift, we are pleased to inform you that having carefully reviewed your results, we will be progressing your application further.

We now require you to upload your right to work, photographic ID, proof of address and any required qualifications".

Does anyone know what the next stage will be after this? I was under the impression that there would be an online assessment centre.

Thanks

It depends which vacancy you applied for, before it was a personal statement to apply and then only the pre recorded interview but now it is interview and then assessment centre. Did you apply on civil service website or home office? I did my interview mid April but still waiting to hear back, I don’t do the assessment centre either way though

I applied for the asylum decision maker role, did you?
On the application description it says there will be a test, then video sift and then the online assessment centre, then provisional offer and THEN pre-employment checks. I'm confused since they are doing the pre-employment checks before the assessment centre.
I applied on the home office website
good luck btw

I applied for same role but on civil service website before they introduced the assessment centre, it’s meant to be a much quicker process now though so if we’re both successful you’d probably start before me 😂 Thank you, you too!

Cn someone tell what is the online assessment centre like?

HiYeah they have changed they're interview process, I don't it a few months back and we had to do a personal statement and then video interview, I believe you will have an online assessment consisting of a role play and a written part too, what did they ask you in the video sift ? I would be interested to know if it was the same strength based questions we had? X

There were 6 strength based questions in the interview with one ice breaker.
Why do you want to work with the home office
What do you like to do in your free time?
Do you like working in a fast paced environment
How would you make an effective decision
How well can you communicate verbally
And couple more.

Sent in my documents for checks, I thought that comes after the assessment centre, but i suppose that could be where it takes time and they might want to start it early
Any idea what’s in the OAC?

Reply 792

Just received confirmation that my documents have been validated and they will arrange a schedule for the online assessment centre - we will be able to pick a date for this shortly.
No idea what will be in the assessment centre, I'm assuming some kind of teamwork exercise as well as another component?
Good luck everyone

When did you do the video sift?

About 2 weeks ago now, are u still waiting?
I know it's easy to say but I wouldn't worry if u are still waiting, it's a better sign than them giving a rejection outright
They prob have a lot of factors they are considering in everyone's applications
Good luck

I see, yeah I imagine it is quite a long process - I applied directly on the home office website perhaps that meant the process is different Vs applying on civil service website.
I did my initial test in late April - was so surprised to find out I'd passed that stage as I found the games quite difficult 🥴

Hi all, I received an email from vetting that my ctc has been granted. Emailed horc to let them know on Monday and they said to wait for an email with a start date. CS portal hasn’t updated yet, does anyone know how long this might be potentially? I’m so desperate to start working

Congrats on the clearance coming through. How long did your CTC Check take to come back from when you submitted the form?
