Hi, please I just finished a nursing course, I had a caution for common assault 3 years ago so the conditional offer I had from an employment has been withdrawn. Has anyone or know anyonev managed to get a job as a nurse with caution for common assault ?
Thanks

really harsh if an assault 3 years ago is preventing you from getting a job in nursing..

I would say though that you should have investigated if this would be a barrier before you did your training...

as a nurse though you should have been more disciplined op, i believe its at least six years before this would be removed from your record
its perfectly possible that you may not be employable as a nurse before then

but seek legal advice on this asap to make sure

Having something flag up on your DBS isn't always an automatic bar to employment. It depends on the the prospective employers policy.
Have you spoken to the NMC?

Thanks for your response. I have spoken to NMC, they sent self referral form but is all about incident that happened at work whereas mine happened in personal life. So not sure what to do.

I would get some guidance from an employment solicitor, perhaps through your trade union
