I haven't even started my A-levels yet. I want to do computer science/cyber security at uni. Most unis, except ICL and Oxbridge, don't seem to require FM. I think some topics in FM are useful in comp sci courses...

Anyway, that's not the point. What's more impressive to a uni... 3 A*s or if i did say maths, fm, computer science and economics but got no A*s ....

I'm really conflicted; I'm currently reconsidering my options. I was thinking of maths, cs, economics but now i'm wondering if I will limit myself without FM...

also, if you've seen me ask lots of questions on TSR recently.... sorry! It's just this stuff is keeping me up at night :P

Then you should be fine doing 4. You should get minimum AAAB in yr 12 mocks from what I've seen.

yeah but they probably didn't sit exams so its hard to say if they'd come out with that. Would be disingenuous to say with commitment they can attain those grades imo. They should try asking their college to make an exception, if they have an actual plan of what they do and provide evidence on the universities saying its fine to take maths, fm and cs they should be fine.

Yh tbf those are just arbitrary grades I came up with supported by 4/5 people who ik who got similar gcses and are doing 4 a levels which are similar the OP. At the same time a think its fairly realistic

Its definitely doable tbh but 4/5 is a shite sample size lmao. Igy tho probably shouldn't be too hard for them.
