I’m 17 and I have quite a few online friends some of which I’ve known for 5 or so years. I eventually want to meet most of them, one of my friends lives in the us and I live in the uk so I can’t really lie about something like that. Is there any way I could possibly tell them without them getting upset? I’m not super close with my parents, we could be closer tbh. FYI theses online friends are 100% legit, I’ve voice called them, followed their social media seen pictures of them and their friendship groups and even talked with their friends on voice calls in discord.

You shouldn't have online friends in the first place....

Wait another year. Once your 18 you are an adult and can do what you like. They are your friends and you should be allowed to meet them.

sounds a bit dodgy going to the us to meet a friend, would open a can of worms
probably best to go over to the US on holiday as part of a tour or something
and drop by to your pals house. you got your reason then and its better value for money isnt it. going over there to hang out with someone for a few days is abit extreme might as well do it as part of other things
