Hey guys, For my GCSEs I got 6A* 5As 1B and a C (in art).
If I get 4A*s in A level, do I stand a chance of getting into Oxford or Cambridge university medical school . And which one of them is more likely for me to get in.

Thanks in advance

Well first off, why do you want to go to Oxbridge? Make sure you like the course and will get an interview - there is no point applying "because it's Oxbridge". They are the only places offering a traditional medical course and it will not be for everyone.

Oxford is probably not going to happen as the average offer holder has 10.7 A*s and they score GCSEs at 50% for interview.
Your best bet would be Cambridge as they do not score GCSEs - your GCSE profile might be a little weaker than average but with 4A* predicted in 3 sciences and a strong BMAT you would most likely interview. You also would be able to take the early BMAT if applying for 2023.

You can have a look at how med schools used GCSEs for 2021 here to give an idea of where else to look into (although this has changed for 2022 and isn't yet updated): https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/res...e-requirements
