Bought tickets to visit my grandparents in Oxford (visiting from south) Im 16 - but just finished year 11. I bought childs tickets because the adults ones are so expensive, and I usually get away with it on the south western trains except from one instance when I was asked but they let it go.
How strict are the XC trains about age? Obviously dont have anything to prove I'm 15. If i give them my fake "birth date" will they let it go?

Get a 16-17 railcard for £30 and you can get 50% off on all train tickets.
