I got offered a job as a permanent HCA the problem is I really want to apply for a physician associate masters which starts in January, I was thinking to take the job as a back up just in case i don't get in.

If i do get in can i quit the job after a few months because there is no way i can do both?

Of course you can leave the job. What makes you think you wouldn't be able to?

And it's not as if you know for certain that you'll be leaving in January. If you do get the place on the masters course, then you'll want to leave your job; but if you're not successful presumably you'll want to stay on, at least for a while.
