they probably asked him a few tough questions, and being a little pussy boy he **** his pants and ran off crying

Grow up.

Go away and receive an interview for a very competitive course at a very competitive university and then please, repeat that.
Interview at Queens' on the 15th. Anyone?

Hi! That was my interview date too.... thought the whole thing was pretty abysmal tbh... Applied for ChemEng and the first lot of interviewers were very unpleasant... made me feel stupid and unwanted which I didn't enjoy. At all.

Next lot were lovely though.

TSA however was APPALLING.

So, to sum up, I don't think there's any chance that I've got into Cambridge to do ChemEng...

How did ur interview go?
Hello everyone, I've just been offered a place for Arch and Anth at Queens', so excited about coming! I'm going to join EVERY society. Anyone else heard yet?
I've heard! I've got a place to study Linguistics at Queens'. I'm so over the moon.

Haven't seen anyone else with offers from Queens' on here. Obviously the best college though. I really wasn't keen on the other colleges but for some reason just fell in love with Queens'; awesome location and size I think.. What made you choose Q?

Michelin starred chef? Well, I read somewhere that Queens' is known for having some of the best food in the University. And yay, sushi! I love sushi. But not that rank one with the egg on. That can go die.

I haven't seen how awesome the bands are. Do you have a link or something?

And May Balls happen every two years? This I did not know, are you sure? :s-smilie:

And I echo your excitement. I've already firmed Cambridge on Track.

Why Queens? Well it has awesome facilities - especially for drama. Also I liked the feel of the college - the fact that it is made up of a number of smaller, different-looking courts instead of one massive imposing court like at Kings. It feels like a mini village  Its also pretty central and close to a lot of lectures for me, and also I thought it would be useful for me to have college tutors that specialize in subjects I think I will need most help in - biological anthropology, for example.

"Annual balls are held by Clare, Darwin, Hughes Hall, Jesus, St Edmund's, Robinson, Trinity and St.John's; while Magdalene, Pembroke, Emmanuel, Corpus Christi, Christ's, Downing, Gonville and Caius, Homerton, Newnham, Queens', Sidney Sussex and St Catharine's hold May Balls every two years."

The last 3 balls held by Queens - Florence and the machine, The Klaxons, Kaiser chiefs!

Totally know what you mean about mini-village. I just fell in love when I was walking through it. I can't wait to study there, I'm going to get my preparatory reading started soon

Oh, cool! That's interesting; looks like we timed it right, to have two balls, like you say! But King's isn't in there? I only noticed because my friend goes there. She's never mentioned anything, though. I'll have to ask.

Wow, go Q! Awesome bands. Nice, I really really can't wait. AHHHH!! Massive high-five to you for your offer again :five: WHEEEE

Congratulations you guys  and hopefully see you there!
I got an Interview for Queens on the 16th. Can i just ask how you all found it? were you asked personal statement questions or just technical questions?

Thanks if you reply.

Well, Queens' is pretty much at the top for most of the criteria you could have when choosing a college.

ETA: I'm back in Cripps next year, BB25. Come and knock on my door, I don't bite.

Hello! Im going to be a Queens' fresher this October, and I just have a couple things to find out before I go off traveling.

Is it true that the 'kitchen fixed charge' no longer exists - it is incorporated in to accommodation costs? What other termly charges do I need to budget for? (I know internet is 25 per term).

When do Freshers sort out their accommodation?

What is the gym like? (Crowded? Well equipped?)

...um I think thats it! :woo:

Um yeah it is a bit awkward, I just said something like

'Dear xxx (A.C.T),

I writing to express my delight and positive intention in accepting the offer made to me by Queens' college to study xxxx starting this October.

best wishes and happy new year,

xxx'

Something like that... its a bit strangely worded but i think the message came across!
