I thought devolution was the process of political power being transferred away from England to the other nations of the UK?

Further devolution to England can meet local needs more efficiently, such as in Scotland where the Scottish Parliament was able to pass an alcohol tax. However, it would undermine the practicality of Westminster and it can cause conflict, such as if Labour have a majority in the English Parliament but the Conservatives have a majority in Westminster.
