Dartford grammar school for boys

If you go to dartford grammar school for boys - why do you guys have numbers on ur backpack I’m curious
The numbers are for recognition.Every student has a number, if your bag gets lost they will be able to return it to you.And also if a student needs to be recognised and a staff is unaware of their name they can find out from the backpack.You are allowed to use your own backpack though, they are not compulsory but will be given to you. I advise using the school one for a while and then switching later.
