Citalopram affecting reading?
Hi,
I recently started taking citalopram to help with my anxiety. I've been on it (a 10mg dose) for about 6 weeks now. It's been helping but one thing I've noticed is that I'm finding it harder to read. I love reading but lately I'm finding myself getting tired after reading a few pages and I'm not retaining what I'm reading as well as normal (this is for both fiction and non-fiction).
I was just wondering if anyone else who's taken citalopram has had their reading affected by it? I know drowsiness is a side effect (and I did get that for a few days) but since this isn't constant drowsiness, it's just triggered by reading, I don't really know if it's that.
Also, if people have experienced this, does it go away and your reading ability go back to normal after a longer period of taking citalopram and adjusting to it?
