To pro programmers- How long does it take to learn Java ?

I recently started programming in Java and I would like to see different response on the time it takes to learn Java by experienced programmers.

In a nutshell it depends. Java then ask questions get your head in the Java books .

A year later and now I'm fully confident in Java and took me a month to learn the basic.
