Fantastic news! Can I ask if when given the interview invitation if you were given a specific date range to choose from (18th - 24th) Or you were just allocated a specific date and time?

For DPhil, is it expected that your supervisor resides in your college?

Nope, your supervisor does not need to be in the same college.

I didn't put in a preference for college. I now realise that it may have been the wrong call to do so

Anyone received an offer for doctoral course from engineering department?

For those who had their DPhil interviews already, any tips?

Depends on your department, mine (Medical Sciences Division) was good, most of their questions related to my 5 min presentation on my master’s project. So I’d say know your project’s strengths and weaknesses. Some additional questions related to any papers I’ve read outside my field that I found interesting + a question related to failure and what I’d learned.

Hey! I think mainly because you have quite a low chance of getting the college you select anyway. It won’t have any impact on your acceptance. But now you mention it, applying to a specific college for your needs could be good, although I just applied to one I found pretty 😂
