Does anyone know: do departments notify candidates nominated for clarendon? Or does one not know if they've been nominated or not

When people speak of 2am do they mean UK 2am?

Anyone got any updates about Ertegun? Also I haven’t been notified if I’m being considered for any funding — is this unusual?

I also haven't heard anything from Ertegun, not sure if that's because they've not sent interview invitations yet, or if it's because they already have and we just don't know it

Ah fingers crossed they haven’t sent out invitations. Did your offer letter suggest you’d be considered for funding?

I think it says somewhere that funding considerations come after, mine said I'd first be considered by my college of choice. But I'm pretty sure funding normally comes at a later stage

Yeah I thought that too, but I guess I’m just scouring for clues! I’m still waiting on my college so that’s a bit nerve wracking too.

Hi, I have an ertegun interview tomorrow so the interview invites have gone out - in the faculty of oriental studies at least. It is probably different for each faculty? I only got my email inviting me to the interview on Friday so I think no interview invite so far is not necessarily bad sign! Has anyone else had an interview and have any tips?!

Are we absolutely sure interview invitations go out on the same day for all faculties? That's what I'd heard too, but just wondering if anyone knows

I am pretty sure due to the fact that Ertegun isn’t faculty nominated in the same way ones like the Clarendon are. It’s pretty much they look through all the forms and pick who they’ll narrow down for interview; separate form kind of confirms it’s more of an “ertegun” thing than a “faculty” thing. Again, I am just speculating, but I reckon no email by the end of the day = no interview.
