    Hi,

After comparing my personal statement with a friend who is also applying for Law, I realised that the reasons we want to study Law are quite similar. Obviously they aren't worded the same, and the rest of the personal statement is completely different, but now I'm worried that it would be classed as plagarising.

Should I ask my referee for my personal statement back to think of more original reasons for why I want to study Law?

i'm sure that out of the hundreds/thousands of applications that go in for law every year, the same reasons for wanting to do law must crop up again and again. Unless you wrote your statement with your friend, and copied sections, i wouldnt worry about it.

Dont your referee just look at your personal statement and then tell if you if you made any mistakes or give you advise to make it better? In our college we had to put the person statement into ucas our self so we could always change it. if this is the case at your college, when you get it back, just change what you're not happy with.

I wouldn't worry about it. Most people study law because of a few common reasons...
