Ucas opens at 8:30 on results day. Will probably crash thousands of times. Your offer may be confirmed by then but I heard some people found out what uni they were going to in the afternoon. I don’t know when uni’s receive the results tho probably the day before

Your grades do not appear on UCAS.

Universities receive your results several days in advance of results day (10th August) and will have that time to process your data to determine whether they can offer you a place or not. You can expect to find out your grades from your school, either in person or through an online portal if your school/college has one. You can expect universities to have decided your outcome by 8.30am on 10th August.

Some unis, if you narrowly miss your results, will spend additional days after Results Day considering you for a "near miss" offer. Essentially these universities are hoping to find somebody better through clearing or adjustment but are keeping hold of you in case they don't. In my opinion it's a really horrible thing to do to applicants but quite a few institutions do it. Durham University are famous for doint this.

This year's results embargo begins at noon on 4th August and ends at 08:30 on 10th August (source: https://www.ucas.com/advisers/managi...ing-essentials).

Universities receive the results in the first 24 hours of that period, and then start making decisions.

Universities can't provide you with your results, or information about any decisions they've made as a result of those decisions, during the embargo. (For example, they can't send out messages saying "Congratulations on getting a place" or "Sorry you won't be joining us" emails, or anything that hints at your success/failure in gaining a place, e.g. "Here's your reading list", or "Your accommodation has been confirmed".)
