Morning! I had a zoom interview for a Secondary History PGCE at Liverpool Hope (I start in Sept!) so I'm not sure how much crossover there is but I was asked about;
Classroom management-what I would do when facing poor behaviour (I said to always be away of the school's behavioural policy, first and foremost)
Safeguarding
How I would structure a lesson/make it inclusive of different learning styles
Why I want to do my PGCE at Liverpool Hope
I also had to give a short presentation on why I wanted to teach in general.
I got the impression it's very much to see how much thought and drive you've put into your decision to teach and then how suitable you'd actually be to the course and being in a classroom.
The best advice I can give is be yourself, let your natural enthusiasm for your subject show. Have some knowledge of the teaching standards (you can find them on the .Gov website) and have a general knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially if you have a specialist subject you want to take future eventually (like science or maths coordinator). They want to see who you are and what you bring to the course!
If you've got anymore questions I'll do my best to answer. Have a lovely day!
