Adam Peaty won the Gold medal for the British team in 100m breast-stroke swimming! :king1:

@04MR17 Too late! I was faster with the news. :colone:
Watched the race, Peaty is a breaststroke beast! Weird seeing him bald though, I’m used to seeing him in past competitions with a full head of reddish hair. Wonder whether he was balding or whether he just wanted an egghead lol.

I hope to go to some of the events in Paris.
I missed all bar the last two dives in the diving this morning.

Yes, I'm hoping to look at getting tickets too.

Jacob Whittle swims a PB in the 100m Free. Just 16 years old. 48.44 is his time.

Let's see if he's done enough for the semis.
Matthew Richards has been withdrawn from the 100 free to prioritise the 4x200m relay.

Kyle Chalmers qualifying easily on 47.77
A very empty field for the 200m fly

Reagan Smith (normally a backstroker) in the first heat
Zhang of China giving a storming heat. Ahead of world record splits at one point.

2 British swimmers through to the semis.

Katinka Hossuz withdrawn
200m breastroke now - my favourite event :colone:
Wilby under world record pace at one point.
Solid swim from him and Murdoch.

Now to watch Kamminga of the Netherlands.
Stubblty-Cook of Australia tied with Kamminga in the heat

What a performance from Team HK!
Siobhan Haughey won the silver in 200m freestyle and broke the Asian record!
With her medal, Tokyo 2020 is officially HK's best performance in an Olympic games, as it is the first time that HK got two medals in a single games!
It's Gold for Team GB in the 4x200m Free.

Duncan Scott is the first to win swimming Gold for Scotland since the great David Wilkie.

2 golds for the Welsh swimmers too.

Another good morning in the pool for Britain, currently sitting on our Olympic swimming gold record. Can we exceed it? Peaty is still to swim the 50m breastroke.
Here we are for another round of heats

Coming to you live From MR's television...
Anna Hopkins breaks a British record in the heats for the 100m freestyle and Freya Anderson also just qualifies for the semi finals.
Luke Greenbank with an excellent swim on the 200 back heat

Just outside his PB
Ryan Murphy winning a very slow 200 back heat on 1.56.69
Second place came in at 1.57

Looking good already for team GB
