As a graduate, I can say the course is disappointing. It's supposed to be a blend of tech and music, but neither area is explored in depth.
If you're more interested in the technical side of audio and music technology, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. The tech content is overly simplified (not even 1 math course - which is vital in Audio technology), likely because they market the course as a music program while trying to avoid complaints from students who feel it's too "tech-heavy."
On the other hand, if you're primarily interested in learning music, you'd be far better off enrolling in a proper music course.
My main issue is how they market this as a music program to attract younger, more creative students, while watering down the scientific content to prevent dropouts. I remember hearing one of the course tutors try to convince a guy who wanted to be a drummer that this was the right course for him—it's a mess for both music and tech students.
My advice is to steer clear of this course. If you’re looking for quality education, perhaps consider another university instead. While I can't fully speak for other courses, based on my experience, your money would be better spent elsewhere. UWE is clearly very profit-driven, and do not care about the education of his students.
