When you say 'Property Developer' do you mean the day-time TV tarting up something shabby and not asking too many questions about the numbers attached, or do you mean property development - putting together a site for a new housing development/Amazon warehouse/etc.

For the first - as you recognise no qualifications are needed (but money is - despite any claims you might see on the internet from people selling get rich quick schemes)
For the latter firms will be employing chartered surveyors and will therefore be looking for graduates from RICS accredited courses - principally in Real Estate[1] or possibly in Property Development and Planning (although these tend to be more focussed on the spatial planning and planning permission side rather than the financial elements)

[1]A real estate degree is not for being an estate agent. It is around property development, commercial property management, commercial property valuation etc. eg This term I've had my first years valuing a warehouse with a tenant paying £450,000 a year rent - so how much will an investor pay for that income. (I'm course leader for Real Estate at Birmingham City - so I would say real estate would be a good idea wouldn't I!)

My organisation The Land Collective is all about educating young people about a career in property and the wider built environment. We are running a virtual internship programme in August and have a planning and development pathway which I believe will be quite useful for you to speak to and understand the ins and out of property development by top companies and seniors.

If you're interested you can apply here: https://thelandcollective-vip.lpages...ualinternship/
