Second Yr VS First Yr

Can anyone whose experienced both second and first year of uni tell me the differences they've experienced?

Course more intense? Less time to socialise? Less or more friends?

Thanks in advance!

(Should I do revision over summer to be ahead for year 2?)
Course: More intense, but better equipped to deal with it as you're familiar with lecturers, the buildings, the school policy, how exams work, etc.

Friends: Tons more, made friends with everyone in second year, loved it. Joined societies that I was too scared to in first year as well.

Time management: I found I had probably about the same amount of time on my hands, maybe slightly more.

With my course we had 6 simultaneous modules, so it was a step up from college where I only had 4 subjects. It felt like I had to learn how to have a full timetable again. By second year I was used to everything and comfortable and not ******** bricks every time we had a lecture in a new building or had a new lab session or something.
