You'll be fine my lovely - just remember that they chose you, because they knew you were capable of everything required. So don't be nervous - if anything goes wrong, my PMs are always open.

thanks

Yes! I applied to Warwick (for Biomed), then Oxford, King's College London, Queen Mary University of London, and Exeter (for medicine). I have received an offer for Warwick (AAB), KCL (A*AA), QMoL (A*AA), but I am still waiting on an offer from Oxford (I hope, but ahhh), and my Exeter interview is on the 7th(?) - which is really annoying, because I have mocks this week.

You have medicine offers!?! Your stats are either crazy, or those unis do it really early! But if you got an oxford interview, I reckon it's the stats! Congrats! Which is your favourite? I have mocks too! My A-levels are the weakest part of my application, A*AB with all 3 being a stretch! I really need that Newcastle BBB offer in march!

Aw thank you so much, you're so sweet! I'm predicted A*A*A*A* (with an A* predicted for my EPQ) - I am so sorry if that sounds boastful, but I don't really have a life outside of school so oops...once I get to medical school I can live! :h:

My favourite is probably Oxford, since I love the essay writing component of the course! I'm sure you'll get that Newcastle offer my lovely - one of my friends applied there for Biochemistry, and she loves the city (not sure if you've visited)!

We can start a study support group lol - I'm studying for my language and the city module which is interesting but tough. It's originally meant for folk studying German so a lot of it is about Berlin and its culture and history. Interesting but I'm definitely putting in some extra hours!

Germany is so fascinating - it's so developed, despite being a relatively modern country (1871 is when Germany was officially founded, I think(?) One of my topics of GCSE History was on Germany between 1890-1945, and it was my favourite!

The east-west divide is really interesting about Germany and especially Berlin, I'd love to visit to see it for myself. I don't know much about German's history but it's a fascinating language really - so many other European languages basically come from German but it's still unique in that it's an inflected language, whereas most (all?) other Germanic languages aren't. Plus the different variants spoken in different countries. The Berlin dialect actually takes after French a wee bit because of Huguenots settling in Berlin. Its hard to recognise that though when you don't speak know language!

Haha I sound like a nerd today. I promise I have a life!

It is, don't worry you don't sound like a nerd! Have you seen the photo with the different coloured lightbulbs?

Haha but yes German is an amazing language - I love how they just make really long words by adding two words together e.g. Blitzkrieg and Weltkrieg or the longest word in German (I had to search this up) - Kraftfahrzeug-Haftpflichtversicherung (it's motor insurance apparently)! Germany is such a varied language, like you said - apparently Bavarian is the strangest dialect(?) - according to my friend, who used to live in Cologne.

I bet they are! Are they in their first year?

Anyways back to the grind - hoping a negative theme comes up tomorrow, like ambition or corruption of the soul!

Anyway, here's an update for me: I started my "new" life (ie actually being productive) today and it's gone well! I worked 9-3, then went home and contacted a squash club, studied for my driving theory, made dinner, and looked at volunteering options! Well done me  I think I deserve to relax now but instead of just hanging around I'll read a book, I've got six that I haven't read yet!
