People now need to weigh up how to proceed for themselves though don’t they?
it’s up to you what you do to protect yourself. On the other side, how long do the majority curtail their lives to protect a minority?
you think those travelling are selfish but your view can be considered selfish too.
you’re only looking at the impact on yourself
I’m high risk and clinically extremely vulnerable but I have a life to get on with

With cases rising though, deaths rising, hospitalisations rising, now is not the time to be opening international travel up. There are risks with opening up yes, but why couldn't those risks have been mitigated through mandatory quarantine upon returning, mandatory face masks and social distancing? That is the balance we should be striking. Instead, we're removing all restrictions and cases, hospitalisations, and deaths are rising. Autumn and winter will be incredibly tough now, but it didn't need to be that way if we'd kept the basic mitigations like masks, social distancing, and quarantining in.

I disagree with you
Mandatory isolation, endless testing and restrictions is not mitigation.
This is going nowhere and you need to learn to move on with your life, taking precautions for yourself as you see fit.
I have just had covid. After being double jabbed.
Was I ill? Yes.
But without jabs it would have been far worse.
Every year thousands of people die or are seriously ill with flu. Covid will become a winter illness just like it.
It is going nowhere
In the meantime we all have lives to be getting on with

Not far off 5000 people just tested positive after attending an outdoor festival in the uk. I’m sure there was far more close personal contact between predominantly unvaccinated people happening there than there was on my holiday flight with everyone holding negative test results and wearing masks 😷 😊

And everyone is entitled to hold their own opinions - literally any opinion that anyone wishes to hold can be backed up by statistics from somewhere, if you look hard enough. I am a med student, I work part time in a vaccine clinic. I think that people should be allowed to make their own choices and live their own lives x

The economic fall out will cause much greater and longer lasting suffering than the actual virus will. Money doesn't grow on trees!

On a lighter, less serious note, I decided to install Grindr last night. I woke up to around half a dozen nudes 😭 although there were some nice people who I've started speaking to and just having general chat with.
I mainly only installed the app so I could see what it's like around Horton Halls, but it seems there doesn't seem to be many people that are my type
(some of you may remember the nickname my friends gave me of "brown man's wh*re" πŸ˜‚)

Good luck with that!

There have been times I was tempted but I don't think I'm that desperate yet I'll just stay single and alone πŸ˜‚(I don't mean any offense to you over that)

Please don't tell me what to do. I think you're all being ridiculous frankly to think that any of this is safe and I shall be smugly sitting there safe in the autumn and winter while the vast majority of morons who think that this has gone away and that don't take any measures will get ill. I cannot believe the idiocy of people frankly.

I think people here are respecting your right to your opinion even if they don’t agree, but you seem to think that anyone not sharing your opinion is ridiculous and idiotic 🀷*♀️

Oh the irony…….. 🀣🀣🀣

you’re very keen on telling others how to run their lives
you be smug. I don’t particularly care, or mind.
nobody said it had gone away
i clearly said that it had to be lived with and managed how you see fit.
so you tuck yourself up in hiding and let others choose how they wish to proceed
but try that with maturity instead of petulance

We had a fantastic Indian last night to celebrate son 2s birthday. Delicious, followed by chocolate cake

It was thank you.
We had curry for a change. As much as we love it, we’re addicted to Chinese!

Guys please don't argue over covid measures and stuff! I think that since this whole pandemic is pretty much an unprecedented situation, it is impossible for both individuals and governments to know what the 'right thing' to do is, covid will likely be around forever so it's vital to strike some sort of balance between keeping people safe physical health wise, but also keeping the economy going and getting life back to normal (which is important for mental health!) -- I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong, but what I'm saying is I don't think any of us are in any position to tell others what is right or wrong, we're all just trying our hardest to get by in the end

Oooh let us know if anything comes from your Grindr adventures! I've heard it's only good for casual sex but who knows, maybe there's genuine people on there too :h:
