So far TeamGB has 5 golds, 6 silvers and 5 bronzes! Currently 6th in the medal tables and Japan is in first

The Olympics have been pretty underwhelming due to the fact the time at which most events occur UK time is in the early hours of the morning, and because the BBC only have limited coverage. Good thing I have EuroSport though I guess.

Also couldn’t believe the US gymnast Simone Biles pulled out, her decision was unfair on other US gymnasts who could have taken her place

Agreed, there’s not as much hype for it but I’m enjoying catching up with the events and having them on in the background regardless

Btw Jade Carey is replacing Simone Biles in the all-around final

But for us it is perfect timing. We are just one hour behind Japan and the broadcasts last from 8am to 10pm as on ViuTV.
The fencing final was a perfect timing as it was 8:10pm local time, which was prime time. More than 2 million people watched the broadcast (32 points).

In HK the timing is perfect. Seven channels (76, 77, 81, 82, 85, 96, 99) from three broadcasters (HK Open TV, TVB, ViuTV) show the games live from 8am to as late as 11pm. Another channel (83, TVB) also shows some 5-minute highlights programmes as well.
For example, 77, 81 and 96 are all showing HK in table tennis now, while 76 and 82 showed the karate matches.
All 7 channels broadcast the fencing final together last week.

It seems that I have underestimated Team HK. The performance is just brilliant.
