After the sprinter Usain Bolt retired, I am curious who will be his legacy. Although I don't think that his performances can be repeated.

The moment of the day in High Jump:

The Italian Tamberi and the Qatari Barshim share a gold medal. A great gesture for great sportsmen. Not only the medal, but also the heart is made of gold! :king1::king1:

Oh, and before I forget it: An Italian runner, Jacobs, wins a gold medal in 100m distance. That is the biggest surprise of the day in turn! :king1:

Dina Asher Smith not successful due to injury.

Solid run from Daryl Neita in the women's 100m final though.

Disappointed by Zarnell Hughes false start in the men's 100m final, with an outside chance of a medal there. What a plank!

What a World Record for Venezuela in the Triple Jump. I always find it very historic to see these records broken in the field events because often they have stood for such a long time unbeaten.

The men's high jump gold has been shared. Apparently this is the first time it has happened since 1912.

Silver for the German discus thrower Kristin Pudenz! :king2: A big surprise and good to know that the German athletics don't leave Tokio without a medal.

That is an unbelievable performance by the Norwegian Warholm! but don't forget to mention the Swedish Duplantis, 6.01 meter in pole vault is insane too! he had even a chance to break his own world record! Scandinavian power rules.

Congratulations to the German Mihambo, she got the gold medal for exactly 7 meters in long jump! :king1:

KJT is out of the women's Heptathlon after a calf injury.

It's a Canadian Gold :king1: in the men's 200m final, with a USA 2-3.

Nick Miller arrives 6th in the men's hammer final. A respectable performance there.
Winners were Poland :king1: ; Norway in second :king3: ; and Poland again in third :king3:
