Hi please someone help me my friends snap account has been hacked and idk who the person is but he has chats pics videos of everything and he’s texting us threatening to send them to her parents or leak them if she doesn’t send him pics of herself and stuff, we can’t get an adult involved please help what can we do what should we do???! Should we ignore him??? We’re 16

you could always leak them first. That way they have no leverage.

You only really have two options, either hope this person is bluffing and ignore them and they'll leave you alone, or take it to the police.

Exactly. Old people like me find it actually bizarre that anyone would willingly send naked pictures of themselves to comparative strangers.

we r pretty sure he’s her ex because he’s the only person she sent nudes to and this isn’t issue they’ve been sent she can’t do anything about that We came here for solutions

Completely ignore/block them. Work through what happens in every option

A - they don't follow through with their threat - nothing happens
B - they do follow through with their threat - they've presumably shared indecent photos of children under 18. Society and the law doesn't take kindly to that. Parents tend to focus much more on getting the individual in the courts than how the pictures were originally taken.

Let them send it to your parents. Your parents might already know that you guys share nudes on the internet. So it won't surprise them.

Or call the police and notify them about it. They should be able to track the hacker.

The law was being updated to make the threat of leaking nudes illegal. Therefore your friend needs to report this to the police, with any screenshots or messages as evidence. However, she also needs to be prepared for the police to be stern with her as she has broken the law too, by creating and sharing nudes, though it's rare for them to take it much further.

He’s 19 she’s scared to take it to the police because she doesn’t want her parents to find out I told her it’s better for her parents to find out than have them leaked or stay under his control

In that case, it is definitely a police matter as the ex is an adult and your friend is a minor, which makes it a much more serious crime for him even having the pics.

You should absolutely take it to the police. That sounds really serious - for him, not your friend. It's not her fault, especially because he's older. An adult in possession of child pornography isn't something you can let go. Trust me, her parents will be way madder at her ex than her.
