Realistically if you really want to be a vet I'd say keep trying - you would likely be miserable being a vet nurse or other animal careers as they are not the same. Of course explore the different routes first, but if you keep coming back to vet, there are other options. You can resit your A Levels, apply to gateway courses with reduced grades if you're eligible, there is the much more expensive and drawn out grad route too but it's an option. I also didn't think I wouldn't get the grades (in chemistry specifically, I was often getting grades below Ds and found it absolutely impossible for most of my sixth form life) and I tried to explore other jobs but I couldn't, my heart was set on vet so I got myself into gear and studied extra hard and everything, I ended up getting predicted an A and also got an A through the CAGs last year (though I ended on a high C in March). In Year 13 I applied and (despite having the right grades and other minimums) got no offers. I didn't think twice about taking a gap year and reapplying even though it wasn't in my plans. I now have an unconditional (since I have grades) at Liverpool. If you want it enough, don't give up, especially so early on! You never know what will happen with grades and if worse comes to worst there are other options. If you want it enough you'll get there.
