Different routes into medicine, btecs and a levels

I know a levels are a secure way, but how could u with btec example foundation yr, etc seen a lot of ppl do this

foundation years are typically for people from disadvantaged backgrounds, not people with a different qualification

"Medicine with a Foundation Year" courses are normally for people meeting specific widening participation/contextual criteria. I believe they normally expect you to be taking A-levels in the same subjects normally required for their medicine course though.

There are "Medicine with a Gateway Year" courses for those who did the "wrong" subjects but still got very strong grades. I would expect they probably would be looking for people doing a set of traditionally academic A-levels with strong performance in them.
