Imo I think is a 6 is good, anything above is great, a B is good but the number system makes it seem lowwww

Everyone has different expectations of themselves and so will have a different opinion of what is a good grade.

Personally, I see a minimum of of B's and C's as good grades.

Well if you look in reality,

A* - 9 or High 8
A - Low 8 or High 7
B - Low 7 or High 6
and so on forth...

it really depends on how much effort you're putting in because if you're putting in minimal effort and getting a grade that is higher than your previous ones, then yes, that's great!

But if you're putting in tons of effort and are only getting the same grades then you may not see the grade as something good!

It's also normal to not being 100% content with grades before the final exam because you should never stay satisfied because you need always aim higher in order to improve!

I'd say in general :

8 and 9 = Excellent
7 = Great
6 = Good
5 = Not bad
4 = At least you passed
1, 2, and 3 = Try again

But it really does depend on the person in question.
If my daughter gets a 4 or 5 I'd take it but I'd think she really hasn't put enough effort in. If my son gets a 4 or 5 though I'd be delighted.

9- Amazing
8- Success
7- Acceptable
6- Ok but a cause for concern
5 and below- Unspeakable

This is what I've discerned from my mum's expectations.

Entirely depends on your expectations. Generally I wanted a 7 or above.

For the average person not wishing to do Alevels a decent mix of 4s and 5s is probably pretty good. Someone wanting to do Alevels will probably want some 6 and higher.
