Good afternoon,

I'm 20 years old and I'm doing a Bachelors. Alongside this, I'm studying A Level Maths completely independently to boost my employability. My only guidance are text books, YouTube videos and a few websites. I plan on taking my exams sometime in 2022 with Pearson.

When is the earliest I can book my exams and for those who have done it, what's the process like. I'm struggling to find guidance.

Thanks

As you are studying independently, it will be better to find some of the Rev guides available in the bookshops. And YT videos also help tho.

A level exams are available once a year in May/June. To enter for them you need to find an exam centre (=any secondary school or college, plus some places which specialise in private candidates) willing to accept you as a private candidate. You pay them and everything is arranged through them. Not many centres do accept private candidates and prices vary widely so it pays to shop around. The entry deadline for the Summer is mid February but I'd recommend you get looking in December. (The software to make entries won't be released until mid November so there's no point starting too soon.)

I've had a look at the CGP revision guide. Found that very helpful

What would be the average price for arranging the exam? I checked the prices back in May and it said around £140 on Pearson's website.

Occasionally an inexperienced exam officer accepts people for just the exam entry fee but I think the normal price is around £250-400, including the exam board fee.

They are tbh. And I can't find any revision guide for the new specs Edexcel Accounting and Business. I need to tell my maternal uncle who live in Leeds, UK.
