Can you use Middle Years Programme grades instead of GCSE grades

I was searching university that I wanted to study Business administration. But after looking at the entry requirements at Newcastle University, I found this sentence"GCSE Mathematics and English (minimum grade B or 6) required if not taken at A or AS Level" I am currently taking the Middle years program and I am interested to study A-levels next year, but this means I don't have a GCSE grade, so is it possible to use MYP grade instead of GCSE.

It seems that Ofqual recognises all eAssessment subjects as equivalent to GCSEs and iGCSEs (since they are all level 2 qualifications). But, I have heard that internal assessments are also acceptable and I heard from someone applying this year that some universities had said to them that internal assessments for the MYP are accepted instead. I think it is okay, but I am not completely sure!
If you are a little concerned, then you could always try contacting a few universities if you wanted.
I hope that helps a little!
