Track cycling in the Velodrome won't get started until the second week of the olympiad. :frown:

We've already seen a gold medal for Ecuador in the men's Road race. :king1:
With the women's event occurring tomorrow! :excited:
The final road medals are up for grabs on Wednesday with the time trial events (a favourite of mine).

Cross-country mountain biking sees all its action on Monday and Tuesday.

BMX Racing takes place at the tail end of the first week (Thursday and Friday) with BMX Freestyle following it on the weekend.
Lizzie Deignan I expected to do better, and Marianne Vos who came fifth.
And it's Gold for Tom Pidcock in the Mountain Biking cross-country event. :woo:

Gold and Silver for GB in the BMX this morning :happy2:

:king1: Bethant Shriever and :king2: Kye Williams
Track cycling began today. Steady start for the Brits.

Quite a shock for Team Australia as one rider's handlebars came off mid race
Another Gold in the BMX places Team GB in a very solid position in this recent Olympic event
Silver for Germany in track bycicle! :king2:

@04MR17 Don't mind, if I have written it in the wrong thread. I don't know if it counts to cycling at the olympics.

Yep, this thread includes all the varieties of cycling in the Olympics. Track, Road, BMX and Mountain Biking all belong here.

The German track team look on strong form so far. :yep:
Many Northern European teams usually perform very strongly in these disciplines (GB, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands and France all performing well so far).
GB guaranteed a Silver in the men's team sprint.

Jason Kenny set to become the greatest ever British olympian
Incredible drama in the team pursuit!

Danish rider crashed into a British rider because he wasn't looking. Astonishing! Danish rider very angry afterwards even though it was his fault.
German team SIX SECONDS ahead of the World Record pre-Tokyo. Such a fast track.

Women's Team Pursuit.
:king1: Germany
:king2: Britain
:king3: USA

The Gold Medal contest is still to go...
Simon Brotherton I think has heard the noise to do with Olympic rowing and is beginning to reassure viewers about the context behind some of the British results.
