If I wanted to apply for a course that is full now, do you think that on results day some places will free up which will allow me to apply? Or does it not work like that.
SHU specifically.

Sometimes yes.

It depends on the results of all the firm offer holders, both for that course and for other courses at the university.

Vacancy listings on ucas will change all the time between July and September.

Like everyone else you will just have to wait for Results Day - no-one can accurately predict this in advance.

In an ordinary year, I would say it is unlikely albeit not impossible.

However this is another unusual year so not even the unis will know for sure.
