Should I ask for a break from our relationship?

My girlfriend and I have been together for around 10 months, however our conversations are becoming more and more mundane and it just doesn’t feel the same anymore. I also think that I have developed a crush on someone else (I’m still unsure). The problem is if I break up with her, I’ll still see her in class and it would be awkward. Should I ask for a break from our relationship?

Asking for a break would be just as awkward to see her around, and achieve nothing.

You just have to be honest that you're not really feeling it anymore. Seeing her at school is not the end of the world everyone goes through stuff like that. Just smile if you see her but no need to chat. Just treat them like anyone else in the class, nothing special.

I've never seen the point in a 'break'.

Either stick with it, talk to your girlfriend and sort out the issues, or end it. Ignoring the problem for a few weeks will not make it go away!

cant lie, if you’re going extents of developing a crush for someone else, it’s best you just end things there with your gf tbh.

Maybe you could stay friends after you break up, perhaps the pressure of a romantic relationship has ruined your everyday dynamic. I hope you are happy with whatever choice you make.
