Most Architecture courses require a portfolio as part of the application process and I'm not sure if that would still be the case when applying through clearing, also if that is the case then how does that work?

Possibly yes - it depends on the university and your qualifications (some universities will skip the requirements for a portfolio if you have certain creative qualifications and grades).

Generally they’ll take your details and qualifications information and if your grades are ok they’ll email with details of how to submit your portfolio. Usually that will be submitting a pdf of your portfolio somehow.

The academic staff will look at your portfolio and make a decision within a day usually.
