Hey guys, is engineering at Glasgow Uni that competitive? like for most of their courses, Strathclyde Uni has AAAB with A Physics A maths. Glasgow however does not post their standard grades anymore but in 2018 it was A/B or B/A maths physics. Will that be enough for nowadays?
Which Engineering degree are you looking at with Glasgow? I've just checked and they do have the entry requirements on the degree pages.
the BEng aeronautical engineering course. It has entry requirements but does not say what grades must be achieved as standard and what grades should be achieved in physics and maths.

I can see it says:
A-level Standard Entry Requirements
BEng: AAB – BBB MEng: AAA
SQA Higher Entry Requirements
BEng: AABB at S5 will be considered. Typically S6 entrants will have AAAAA at Higher. (B at Advanced Higher is equivalent to A at Higher) MEng: AAAB at S5 will be considered. Typically S6 entrants will have AAAAAA at Higher. (B at Advanced Higher is equivalent to A at Higher) Additional requirements: Higher Mathematics and Physics or Engineering Science.
SQA Higher Adjusted Entry Requirements* (by end of S5 or S6)
BEng: MD20 – BBBB (also other target groups*) BEng: MD40 – AABB* Additional requirements: Higher Mathematics and Physics or Engineering Science. Successful completion of Top-Up or one of our Summer Schools.
I'm sure if you're getting As in Physics and Maths, then you should be fine. Probably worth emailing their department.

hey, thanks for your advice! I, unfortunately, got a B in maths and an A in physics. I was doubtful too so contacted the admissions officer. He said he cant firm any choices until getting all applications but judging from past admissions he thinks i will receive an offer.
It may just be a case that the higher grades (A) will gain you entry on to the integrated masters, but with the lower grades (A and B) you may just be able to enrol on the BEng. However, you can upgrade later on in your degree, subject to how well you do. I'm sure you'll manage with no problems.
They also offer Top-Ups or Summer Schools, if you want to check those out.

yeye I'm planning on enrolling for the BEng course and later switching to the masters as Glasgow does give that as an offer. Thank you so much for your help

Im doing A-Level right now, did you get in, if so did you meet anyone who got in even though one of their subjects was a grade lower than expected
