When I use a number 1 blade on my face to trim the hair, it looks green and stubbly even though I’m not actually shaving it, I’m almost 17 btw, any advice ?

Easy way to stop it would be trimming it to a point where it doesn't look green, but you're 16 so I doubt your facial hair has fully grown.
