Hi everyone, just a quick update on my RAF application and hopefully a bit of motivation for anyone stuck in the application stage or perhaps stuck at the medical stage.

I started my application last September, i'm in my late 30s so for me personally it was a big move to join the RAF.

Pretty much every part of the application stage was delayed due to covid etc. Back in December i had the dreaded TMU from the medical. It took another 3 months for my GP surgery to send my files. For me this involved alot of sleepless nights and also having a plan B incase the RAF didn't happen. After that i was made PMU, but decided to appeal the decision.

Then in the end of June i finally got the medical decision changed and passed the medical. What a relief!

Yesterday i passed my fitness test, another victory. Still along way to go but my message to others in a similar situation is NOT TO GIVE UP, because the RAF want people who don't give up.
