Is it normal to want to only date for marriage?

E.g. people who are serious about settling down and having kids in the future. Or do people date for the experiences?

A lot of people just date for the experience, but it's completely fine if you want something more serious!
You do you
That's basically what Muslims do in today's world. Nothing abnormal.

Well there's certainly nothing wrong with it, but maybe young society aren't as understanding of that nowadays. Do whatever you're happy with doing. Follow your own path.
It depends on the person, their values and relationship ambitions.
Different people date for very different reasons.

Some are seeking to find compatible marriage partners.
While others are motivated by a desire for exciting casual relationships with a limited shelf life, to gain sexual experience, have convenient fun in their spare time, enjoy polyamorous arrangements or find someone suitable to cohabit/raise a family alongside without marriage as their preferred relationship option.
Definitely not weird and a lot of people do it but like others have said young people are less inclined to want to settle down young so it’d just a better if finding people with the same goals/ perspective as you.
