I had to purchase ANOTHER 2&8 days covid package from another provider earlier today

Both companies were listed on official government website - it is only in retrospect that I have read really bad reviews for the previous provider which is however approved by the government as a legitimate provider

What would you do in my case? It is not refundable, however really unfair

Welocme (back?) to Blighty the land of government ineptitude. Sod all you can do if it's non refundable and that's absolute.

Go through your bank and their chargeback scheme to reclaim the funds.

I would think you should be able to if the tests never arrived in the first place. If the company doesn't respond, chargeback as above.
