This is a bit of a weird situation but I need some advice.

I have a TC offer at my dream firm, but I'm a bit concerned about something that may flag up on my background check. About 3 years ago I was paid to become a 'nominee director' of a company. I had no money and I was in a sticky situation so I said I'd do it. A couple of months later there was a cessation of this directorship and that was it, job done.

Anyway, I'm concerned. It's anxiety purely because I'm panicking the law firm will retract the offer if this flags up, any advice?

I don't see the problem? Many lawyers act as directors, some even offer it as a service. if I were the law firm I'd be impressed with your initiative. Or was something dodgy involved? I of course don't know what the situation was, but I'm sure you can think of a way of giving this a positive spin if they want to discuss it with you.
