I am looking for a book which will introduce me to the fundamentals of nucelar physics. I've finished reading Jim al Khalili's quantum for the perplexed so I have a basic understanding in quantum mechanics. Thank you!

To be honest, outside of undergraduate textbooks that cost a hundred pounds I don't think you'll find something that doesn't already mention what you'll know from A-level. Nuclear physics doesn't lend itself to analogies as much.

If you do want an undergraduate textbook that costs a hundred quid then there's Introductory Nuclear Physics by Krane. Haven't read it but it seems fairly accessible.

Do you have any recomendations for a book which would contribute to my understanding of nuclear physics when I come to studing it? (I've already read a book about quantum mechanics so anything but that). Thank you.
