Hi everyone, I'm Katy!

I'm applying for Optometry at Plymouth, Cardiff, UWE Bristol and Hertfordshire. I'm also considering Orthoptics and Sheffield.

My predicted grades are A, A, A/A* in History, Chemistry, and Biology. I'm hoping for an A or A* in the EPQ but who knows :s-smilie:


My GCSE grades are 9 in art, 9 in Bio, 8 in Chem, 9 in English, 9 in French, 8 in Geology, 9 in History, 7 in Maths, 8 in Physics.


Hopefully I'll find some people who also want to study Optometry!:smile:

same ive been doing exam papers too. idk about you but the exam board my school is doing, the markschemes are a real pain
i havent actually finished my statement. school want a first draft by end of week so im trying to finish that first
have you been able to get any work experience? or any for that matter :smile:

I do aqa biology and the mark scheme is the worst thing ughhh. I got work experience at an Opticians a couple of weeks ago, but had to contact about 12 different places though until one said yes :colonhash: Do you have Instagram?

ik they are not the best at all. i do OCR A spec. ive had zoom meeting chat with an orthoptist but havent actually got any in person work experience :frown:

If you are predicted 3 A*'s and applying to universities with A*AA or AAA entry requirements are you at a disadvantage to applicants with lower predictions who maybe offered places with lower offer grades ?
