Getting into course through clearing when my results day is 3 days after

The title. My college course will mean that I get results day three days after everyone else. Is there anything I can do to reserve a place at the course I'm trying to get into (University of Nottingham, Foundation course- engineering and physical sciences)? What are my chances of still getting in?

And kids, never take a BTEC.

Has your school confirmed you will be getting your BTEC on that date? I was under the impression most students would be receiving their results all on the same day this year?

I'll see if I can get in touch with some of my old teachers. This does seem very weird.

It's more than possible you're correct, but do get in touch with your school and see as I haven't heard of another case of this! Will you update us when you hear back from them?

absolutely. honestly, this is stressing me out so much, as if I dont get on the course then my options are really slim, and id hate to miss out on something like this because of some silly administrative mistake

Get some confirmation from the school and then let us know what is what. Don't worry even if you got your results in three days it doesn't mean the course will definitely be gone!

that makes me hopeful that there's something that can be done. ive reached out to all my teachers now, and now its just time to wait. god this is making me so stressed lol

According to this, my btec should get back by the 10th, and i spoke to someone who helps with student services and they said that they've been told all grades will be given back on the 10th (and im getting results back by email). Hopefully i can get this convfirmed by my other teachers, but so far everything points to this just being a misunderstanding. not to mention that the 13 august happened to be results day LAST year.

though, to be safe, i want to make sure my college doesn;t make an error on their part (though if im being hoenst im not sure what the process involves)

Why would you get your results three days after everyone else?

You're getting your results on the 10th of August - the exact same date A-level students do. (https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/results-confirmation-and-clearing/results/results-what-you-need-know)

No reason for you to get them three days later.

Also, not sure why you're trying to discourage people from taking BTECs even though it has absolutely nothing to do with your original question.

And on the part about BTECS, I've just found getting into university has been more of a struggle with them rather than A-levels, even though I'm predicted good grades. But anyway, I don't want to get too into it. I meant it as just a light joke more than anything else- if someone does their research and decides it's for them, good on them!

I got back from my course leader today, he says it's the 10th thank god. I think there's just been a big mixup.
