Asking for readings before course starts? (postgrad)

I’m going to be studying my postgraduate degree at UCL in September, but am anxious to hit the ground running! Can I email the lecturers now and ask for reading recommendations (required reading or personal recommendations) for the modules?

Feel I’m just gonna me told to wait until the start of term lol
