Hello Everyone!

I'm a British Citizen and have been living in the EU my entire life. I start university in a few months in England. I've already applied for student finance, and my application has in fact been approved. Here's my problem:

In order for the process to be complete, I need to provide my national insurance number, as well as my bank account details. However, given that I have never lived in the UK, I have neither a NI number, nor a bank account. Do I just wait a few months until I move to the UK and have it sorted out? Do I do something else?

Thank you in advance

Hi, if you apply for SFE funding - once your application is approved we will send your details to the Department for Work and Pensions. Once you have a UK address on your account they will send you an application pack to apply for a NI Number.

You can set up a UK bank account after you arrive.

Funding won't be released until we have a valid NI Number and valid bank details.
Thanks, Isaac
