I’m in the process of preparing for university in terms of buying everything I will need before I move out. My estimation is that it would all cost around £2500.
I want to know if this is a realistic amount or it could probably be less.

If you already gone to uni and remember how much you spent your opinion is invaluable to me!

Thanks

Hi doh7aa

That seems to be an awful lot of money, what are you planning on buying?

Our accommodation team have put some basic advice on what to bring here: https://www.hull.ac.uk/choose-hull/s...on-for-arrival and there are plenty of other guides online.

I think I spent about £150 on some bedding when I came to Hull and then bought stuff as I needed.

I look forward to seeing your shopping list!

Thank you for sharing your opinion
Well a huge majority of that is going towards buying a macbook and they’re quite expensive but they last long and I need something that would last my 4 year degree. But yh we’ll see hopefully I don’t end up spending unnecessarily 😅

Hi doh7aa

I understand now, I was fortunate in that I already had a laptop and a PC, so I didn't need to buy anything major and (touchwood) they are both still going strong!
