Hello,
I'm planning on changing some of my A Level options on GCSE Results Day. I was planning to do:
German
Eng Lit
Physics
Maths

however, I was considering doing Earth Sciences (Geology or Geophysics) as a degree, so I was thinking that Chemistry would be better than English Lit. My other interest is in Linguistics which is why German is necessary. However, I do really enjoy Eng Lit and I'm worried about narrowing my options since I tend to be very indecisive... people who currently take one subject or the other, which ones would you recommend? What are the courses like?

Y11 here, tbh I recommend Chemistry over English lit. I'm pretty sure that degree uses some chemistry knowledge. Check if it's a requirement for the Unis you want to go to. Do you like chemistry and are you good at it? These are questions you should think of when deciding.

Check the courses on unis websites to see what subjects (if any) they specify.
That may help you decide.
