Don't want to miss out but at same time is pretty expensive and I only have a few friends at uni so would be going alone to a lot of these events

Hey,

Is this an SU event? If it's something your uni or SU offer, then it may be worth looking into the events they run and if you can buy individual tickets to the few you like the look of best to cut costs. Don't worry about going alone - so many people will be in the same position!

Be careful about buying tickets from big Freshers companies or events companies - check them out beforehand and make sure what you're buying is legit. So many companies offer Freshers events that look like they're run by the uni but they're not!

Hope you have a great time this year no matter what
